In Perfect Strangers by J.T. Geissinger you meet Olivia a writer who has not been able to write after a tragedy two years prior. Still being haunted by the past she goes to Paris to heal and hopefully write. She meets Hames a stranger who ignites a passion she thought was long gone.

WTF. I honestly do not know what else to say for this book. I liked it don’t get me wrong. It was different for sure, but I honestly felt I was thinking WTF throughout the entire book.

There was some LOL moments and I thought it was very clever I just didn’t vibe with it I don’t think. My favorite character was Kelly a side character which makes me feel like I didn’t really connect with the main characters.

I went in completely blind and without spoiling anything it just was not what I was expecting! There were some parts that just made me ick and especially towards the ending but again I don’t wan’t to spoil!

So many twists and turns with this book.  Here I thought I was diving into a cute book about an author in Paris trying to write her next big book then meets a guy that's an artist.  From there, I assumed it would be their cute little story.  Yeah, I was wrong.  It's not that it wasn't cute or anything, it was just laced with so many twists and turns.

I don't know if I happened to choose two books from this author that are like psychologic thrillers or if there are more, but here we are.  I wasn't a fan of the other one I listened to but this one was pretty good.  I did NOT see any of the twists and turns coming at me.

By the time the book was over, I was left with more questions than answers, which was great.  I love a good book that leaves me wondering what just happened.

Romance was good but not sure how I felt about it. An unusual story / writing style for sure

WOW. Spoilers below.

J.T. is the QUEEN of twists and turns. But the foreshadowing of a double twist!!! Incredible! I read this cover to cover in one sitting. Truly could not put it down! James & Olivia's 3 storylines were easy to follow, heartwarming, but also heart-wrenching.

I want to give this 4 stars but I’m slightly confused and also slightly possibly heartbroken.

Plot or Character Driven: Plot

Ok, generally, I liked this book. However, the last 1/4 of the book was completely unhinged. I liked the first few twists and turns, but a few of the last ones left me sad. I appreciated the HEA in the end, but it was a bit twisted riiiiiiight before that and it left me feeling uneasy. I don’t know, this was off to a good start and then it kinda floundered for me. I’m not sure I would recommend it; there were too many twists trying to catch the reader. Maybe I need to sit with it for a while.
