An autumnal, light, easy to read small-town romance, but the main characters Logan and Jeanie fall for each other too quickly, in my opinion.  It was a spicy read that didn't quite hit the spot. So, it's a romance of a flannel wearing farmer who needs therapy and a woman who's inherited the cafe from her aunt, trying to find herself. The   small town element and autumnal theme work, but for me, there needed to be more, both in terms of character development and plot. Ultimately not for me.

struggled with the random bouts of "he struggled to not punch Character XYZ in the face" and hazel slapping him on the side of the head. There was also a strange comment about people with piercings early on that I didnt appreciate. overall I enjoyed the book a lot but it was hard to get into and i was told the smut was "filthy" and i didnt even blush reading it. the side characters and main character jeanie are very loveable and i look forward to the next one, hopefully it doesnt also include the things i disliked from this one. it truly had the vibe of a small town romance, and had a few sweet moments, it just included some very normalised little things that werent relevant to anything and that i didnt like.

A cute and fluffy cozy read! Perfect fall and small town vibes. But nothing to shout home about tbh very expected. Just a light and quick read to get you out of a reading slump, or welcome fall!!!

So, looking at my notes my first thought was 'Oh wow! This feels like a Gilmore Girls episode' definitely Lorelai and Luke vibes.
After Chapter 2 it started to seem like those Christmas movies, all pretty much the same just with different covers. I'm not saying it was bad, otherwise I would have stopped reading, but I didn't find myself particularly attached to the characters. Idk, maybe I got to the point where I prefer to watch this type of romance rather than read about it.

Oh and I'm not sure why, but whenever the mmc is mentioned I got reminded of Cal Maddox from Sweet Magnolias played by Justin Bruening 😆

A cute fall-themed romance about a sunny cafe owner and a broody farmer with an incredibly soft heart. The character development was great. This books is a great one-day read when you're curled up with coffee and a blanket on a fall day. Definitely insta-love with a lot of growth and navigation afterwards and lots of miscommunication tropes.
