Small Horrors that I wish were longer.
Really good, i enjoyed most of the fifty.
A lot of the time, I found myself disappointed because the stories ended too soon. I would have given this a five-star, except for there were some editing issues, and a few of the stories weren’t up to oar with the rest.
I still would recommend this as some of the stories were proper worthy of the title.
I would read these again if I had nothing to read. They left chills down my spine.

Darcy Coates has garnered a dedicated fanbase who speak highly of her work, and I was excited to experience it. However, the book I selected for my first read didn't resonate with me as I had hoped.
"Small Horrors" is a short story collection that draws you in with its intriguingly creepy cover. I eagerly listened to the audiobook, which featured wonderful narration. With fifty stories in the collection, each is brief enough to fit into a quick break. I appreciate the variety offered by short stories, but the quality varied widely—some tales were quite captivating, while others fell a bit flat for me.
My overall rating reflects a mix of reactions, landing in the middle. But I'm not giving up! I already have another of Coates' work chosen for a future read!

overall a solid read I think there was only one short story that I really didn't care for. helped me out of the reading slump!
There are some really great short stories in this offering. I would have loved to see so many of these in a full length novel or even just a novella!
