It compilates the struggle of feminism and finding a femistic identity for women in th 60ies quite well, but it doesn't lead to much - which is probably pretty accurate for the time, considering the rigid stereoroles and opportunities in society back then. 
I found the pacing a tad too slow, it gave the story a meandering flow.
