A bit slow for me in the first half but then it gets crazy and it just keeps getting crazy.

Leaning toward 3.5 stars. Wonderful writing and creativity. I just don't like books with this trope (if you have read the book, you know what I am talking about).

Does this book used tired tropes? Yes.

Did I care? No.

I loved Ward's writing style and I was still engaged during--and after--the plot twists that came with the climax.
