As a mood reader it took me a minute to get back to this but it was excellent once I did. I'm loving the dynamic of the love story and the tension of the plot as it comes along. Throw in some hilarious magic and I'm thoroughly entertained

One thing’s for certain: Don’t. Stop and smell the roses. At least the ones at Sky’s house, for sure. I am loving the chaotically entertaining adventures of Nolan and Sky, and everything I’m learning about this world.

Ha, that’s an understatement and I adore the cheery necromancer and how he’ll do anything to protect his introverted crush. I can’t wait to see what new (mis)adventures are in store next.

That vampire bite from the last book has finally caught up with Nolan. Christoph Sandor now claims him as his pet and is determined to keep him. When he finally admits this to Sky, he's determined to help free him. It will take his necromancer, know how, and some help from the Variks to free him.

So, this second foray into this series just emphasized why I typically don’t like serials. For me, the exposition on absolutely everything was totally unnecessary and dragged this story down.
I’m guessing that this could’ve been nicely told in a 250 pager, not 460, but I’m not the author.
Points for a fun set up. I’m sure fans of Lord of Discord will greatly enjoy seeing that cast of characters sprinkled throughout this. However, I don’t have the patience, and I’m gonna tap out for now. I loved necromancer Sky, and I wish him and Nolan an early cheers to their inevitable happy ending!
