Patrick Bateman if he was a pick-me boy in an orchestra. As a classical musician, this is exactly how I picture professional male double-bassists in real life.

This book was like talking with a delusional nationalist about his country. Not to even mention that he said that conducters are useless and that in the NATIONAL orchestra they on porpuse play faster then the conducter is showing. I am sorry in what world a national orchestra would do that?

And the absoulute classical elitism in this book made me so angry. "I don't like jazz, because i prefer the clean, pure notes of classical music."
Gods, i hate people like that.

In conclusion this book made me so annoyed i just wanted to throw it out of a train window. I hope i never have to read something as stupid as this again.

O.5 stars.
Ps. People who are classical musicians or learning to be conducters, don't read this book.

Patrick Süskind muhteşem bir yazar. Toplumdan kontrbas yüzünden kopuklaşma yaşayan bir adamın monoloğu.
