Very cool to be back in the world of the People of the Salt! It was cool to get to see Verity all grown up as well as hear a bit about how the other sisters are doing. I didn’t think it was as scary as the first book was so that was a little disappointing, but the ENDING my god I hope they circle back to all that with the next book!

I was not anticipating the spookiness of this book! A perfect Halloween read, cute romance, and mystery. I think I liked House of Salt and Sorrows more, but this was still fun.

This is gonna be one long rambling ok

I feel like Verity and Alex aren't as convincing as a couple because the whole time we have Verity questioning whether she loves him, saying she doesn't feel anything when they kiss, convincing herself of the connection. And THEN SHE FEELS LOVE FOR HIM WHEN SHE'S DRUNK/POISONED??? I felt like she was settling for him and Alex deserves to be loved fully. I honestly love him.SO MUCH. He's just so warm and kind and lovely. A little fast for my taste but i wouldve said yes if he proposed tbh
