A ridiculous romp, which gets better once you suspend disbelief and just go along with the absurdity. All’s well that ends well though.

Not as funny as “Everyone in my family has Killed Someone” like someone who recommended this said.
Way too Forrest Gump-like.
Humorous, chuckleable.

Loved it! It was silly but totally fun. Funny. I loved the historical connections. It's kind of like Forrest Gump (the book, not the movie).

It was just what I wanted. Highly recommend.

Alan Karlsson gives me hope that life could turn around to be interesting on your 100th birthday too.

Joas Jonasson has done an impressive job in portraying the character of the centenarian Alan Karlsson and his adventures/misadventures. By throwing in a mix of global leaders and their funny side, he has added some flavor to the story, which is best enjoyed if you keep your logical left brain locked up somewhere else. It is also the perfect way to enjoy this laughter riot.

I am somebody who is not easily amused by humor in books. But, this one cracked me up big time.
I love the way Jonas has thrown world leaders into the mix and yet managed to create a string of humorous events. I am also equally amazed by his writing style. It is simple and without any pretensions; just how an easy read is meant to be.
