I read this after reading "Rule Number Five", and very quickly realized I didn't have to read that book to understand this one - which is kind of a bummer because I liked this one a lot better than the first one. I skipped the second one entirely because I wanted to read a MMF which this book DEFINITELY delivered.

I love that River and Alex started as long time best friends, with River being in love with Alex for years. The yearning and the desperation were definitely there. I liked that Alex wasn't depicted as a man struggling with his sexuality. Once he realized he was attracted to River, he went after that shit. I loved the MMF dynamic, and that Mia was super into River and Alex getting together and fooling around right in front of her.

The abusive ex was thrown in here and there, I understand it was added for dramatic effect and as a way to move Mia from one place to the next, but definitely wasn't as important of a plot piece as I think the author wanted it to be. Like him stealing from the hospital she got her internship at and pinning it on her so she got fired was super over the top, but it is what it is - everyone loves a dramatic flare, but that might've been too dramatic for me seeing as I was only reading this book for the smut pieces where all three of them were together.

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end! River and Alex were PERFECT! The way they equal each other out!
Mia finally caving in Napa with the spice…Alex realizing he’s in love with River and finally exploring that. I bawled when Alex admitted to River that he loves him. River technically being the dom with Alex in a brat type roll with Mia 10/10
this book will have you feeling all the feels plus laughing and kicking your feet!
funny fast-paced
