The plot was pretty boring; it felt like there was simultaneously too much and not enough going on.
But!! I loved Alex and River so much that I had to up the rating. Mia was there. She's not a bad FMC, she's just not a good one either. She's okay.
Now, I don't say this part lightly... the spice in this book-- to me??-- god-tier. Bestie took all her creative ability and funneled it into those scenes. Usually I prefer a decent, quality balance between plot and spice-- unfortunately there were times that even River and Alex being so cute wasn't quite enough to overcome how bored I was with the Mia and the plot-- but those spice scenes had me sat. I just trudged through 480 pages because that author is freaky and I liked that.
