this was fun!! i enjoyed myself while reading but definitely LOLd at some of the cringier parts. she referent their “darkened hooded eyes” when expressing someone is horny a TON so that got old lol. and sooo much “he growls”…. enough of that. she also has characters repeating themselves a lot? like the character will say something and the mouths it again after it’s said?? unsure what that’s about but something i noticed. hardly any hockey in this one, it only really came up when it was needed to move some plot along or put us in a different setting. nothing i haven’t read before in terms of plot/third act conflict/almost sacrificing happiness because “it’s what’s best”, shitty parents, toxic ex, etc. loved the bi representation though!!

overall mid and honestly i want to just go back and reread pucking around by emily rath (the pink print to poly! hockey romance). this is the third book of a series of stand alones but im not feeling compelled to read them.

This was just such a good book. I loved the intertwining and separate love story at the same time. The way they come together is heartfelt and believable. It’s one of the few romance books I’d reread.
