Remained absolutely gripped throughout, first time in ages I’ve been sat at work thinking about how bad I want to go home and read my book. Really liked the writing style too. Just so visceral and grimy and emotionally impactful, I could feel the desperation ramping up throughout. So impressed!

read for book club april 2025. vivid & lyrical writing style which made the book very gripping. enjoyed the open-ended-ness of it. left lots of questions & topics to be discussed. good choice for a book club-type discussion.

challenging emotional tense medium-paced

The dynamics at Breach House were very interesting and the different women felt real as well. Towards the end the plot really accelerated and what happened in the end was a surprise, though you know from the start of the book that something happened. It's made me realise that I am not actually cut out to be in a cult though! I'd recommend this book to people who enjoy stories that focus on the dynamics between different people, especially when these dynamics are strange and harmful. It's well-written and the location comes to life as well
