This was a good start to a graphic novel series. Some things just made me feel weird though. Like why did
Spoiler she feel the need to put a bow in her hair after she cuts it off? Is it because being bald as seen as less feminine and a bow would help identify her as feminine?
I just find some of the choices odd. I feel like diversity was forced in the book. Statements had to be made about gender. I much prefer a book like [b:The House in the Cerulean Sea|45047384|The House in the Cerulean Sea|T.J. Klune|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1569514209l/45047384._SY75_.jpg|62945242] where the diversity doesn't need to be a statement piece, and it's just part of the book.

A phenomenal read!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for giving me access to this title!

This graphic novel follows a girl called Nyneve who lives in the kingdom of Hyalin where a person's powers are affected by the length of their hair.
Witchy has a fun art style, it wasn't my favourite, but I found it quite funny sometimes and I liked that it had lots of scenery.

Just a Cutie

Not a book I would’ve picked up on my own. But thanks to OwlCrate I had it in my possession. The art style is cute. The story was relatively unique. Took me about an hour to read and I enjoyed my time doing so. I didn’t love it. But I didn’t hate it either.

3.5 stars. Not a huge fan of the artistic style but I am intrigued enough to see where this goes.

I loved that! I hope there is another one to come out! The representation was fenomenal and the characters were great!
