It was a little longer than I anticipated, and took me a LOT longer to read than I thought it would. The ending was heartbreaking, I can't believe everything that happened. But overall, this book was incredible. I didn't understand most of it, but it was so much fun to read. Will definitely be rereading in the future so I can get a better sense of it.

One of the most profoundly beautiful and thought-provoking books I have ever read. The emotions felt during this read were unreal, and the storytelling and language used made it even better. I love this book with my entire heart.

If I could give this 6 stars, I would. This is hands-down one of the most well-written books I have ever read. Zusak has a way of introducing characters and making you love them with all your heart then heartlessly revealing how they will die in like, the next paragraph. And even then, even when you know their death is coming, it still hurts like heck when you actually read about it. But seriously though, approach with caution. You will inevitably cry, or at least get teary-eyed.
