Моя первая книга у автора, и мне не удалось понять такой уж сильный ажиотаж вокруг Ю Несбё. Да, написано неплохо, достаточно интересный сюжет, но все-таки методы возмездия Сына не могу поддержать. Думаю, сама идея и является главной причиной оценки «ну норм».
Но в целом легко читаемый контент, если вдруг надо прогнать нечитайку, вызванную «высокими» произведениями классики (да-да, «Улисс», это о тебе).

It pains me to give Jo Nesbo 3 stars after being such a big fan of him for years, but The Son was not up to his usual standards. There were too many characters to keep track of. The son who was the main protagonist was unlikeable. In fact most of the characters were very unlikeable. There were not as many twists as you usually see with Nesbo. A lot of action seemed to happen at the beginning of the book but then it dwindled out towards the end when the book became more political. It got 3 stars from me just because I’m such a fan, but it’s no Harry Hole.
Read this ages ago and can't remember what it was about exactly I just know I enjoyed it and it was a fun read. It wasn't exactly groundbreaking but it wasn't predictable either. I'd recommend it if you like crime fiction. Even though the ending might have been a little too good to be realistic but hey, it's fiction.

I really enjoyed this book. I don't know that the comparisons to Girl with the Dragon Tattoo are warranted, other than a Scandinavian author, a mystery, a lesbian and a crime theme.
Les més de 600 pàgines passen volant, un d’aquells llibres que enganxa desde la primera pàgina, amb una trama molt cinematogràfica plena de girs sorprenents, tot i que alguns acaben sent un pèl previsibles. Li hauria posat un 4,5 sobre 5.
