I really enjoyed this book. It was really intense and graphic and felt like something you might see on criminal minds. The only thing I didn’t love was the romantic plot line- it was not needed. Other than that I loved it! I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
Graphic: Torture, Murder, and Violence
Moderate: Transphobia and Suicide

I’ll never look at Eric LaSalle as just the Soul Glo man anymore! To me, he’s able to standalone as an author now. I really enjoyed this first book of the trilogy.
Graphic: Violence, Medical content, Kidnapping, Grief, Pedophilia, Murder, Child death, and Gore
Moderate: Miscarriage, Terminal illness, Suicide, and Fire/Fire injury

The twists and turns of the plot were often overshadowed by the character development. I would have like to see more of the plot but the twists and unexpected area the book went make up for that. I quite literally experienced several jaw dropping moments which seems on brand for a book with this title.
Graphic: Murder, Sexual assault, Gun violence, Torture, and Suicide
