The reason I normally love Three Pines mysteries is because they are such an escape. All the hateful characters in this book reminded me too much of all the hate in the world right now. But it's a good mystery.

As always with LP, an excellent read. All the clues are there for who done it, but I didn’t guess correctly. Drat! Looking forward to the next book.

I literally texted quotes from this one to friends. Nuggets of truth in a fictional work. Louise Penny is brilliant.

Louise Penny's characters just get better with each book. I am completely in love with Armande Gamache. I love the development of characters, especially the development of Armande and his wife, Reine-Marie. Louise shares a view into their relationship and it is beautiful and endearing. I highly recommend this series!

This series is really growing on me. I love the character development and I enjoyed the mystery although I agree with other reviewers that the motive in this one is not believable. Looking forward to number 5.
