{my thoughts} - I have to admit at this point this is one of the most insane series of books I have ever read. The quote that the series is more or less based off of that goes “Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead…” makes a whole lot more sense to me now that I read this book. I must admit that this book was twist after twist, well so far that has been the entire series, which keep you wanted to read more which is a good thing for the most part. I am shocked at how much information is shared throughout each of these books which is just enough to help the reader guess what is taking place but not enough to know for sure until the answers are revealed in the books – which keeps you wanting to read until you reach the point where you get your answer, but as soon as the answer is revealed another twist is in the making.

The girls are finally introduced to Ali’s twin Courtney – which is a huge surprise to the girls. They come to find out that Courtney was the one that was staying at the Radley and not Jason her older brother. That Courtney had been ill and she even stayed at the same clinic that Hanna’s father had sent her to for a brief stay. Courtney eventually lies and gets the girls to believe that she is the real Alison – their Ali – and that Courtney had pretended to be her the night of the murder. Alison eventually goes with the girls to a dance and then lure’s them each to go with her by tricks saying things that make them feel good and believe they are all friends. They go to the house in the Poconos where she tries to reanimate the night when Ali had died. She says that it has to be the same and all that crap – the girls agree and they go upstairs with her and they do the thing where she tries to hypnotize them.

Anyways when she starts to count she then seems further and further away – and then they realize that she is no longer in the room with them. She slips a note under the door and is gone. She goes downstairs and sets fire to the house. The girls realize this after they find and read the note that tells them she was the real Ali and their Ali was Courtney and she killed her for taking her life from her but then was force to suffer and be treated in hospitals like Courtney was. Anyways – the girls discover they aren’t alone and they go to the closet to discover Melissa is stuffed in there with Ian’s dead body and that she is completely freaking out – they get her out and then they talk a bit and remember a hidden passage in that room and they all get out of the house before it explodes. They don’t know for sure if Ali got out or not – but they got out and then the police show up!

{reason for reading} - I watch the show.

I really enjoyed this continuation of the series. It kept me going up until the end. The fact that it was someone out of the blue who "killed" Ali was a big surprise. It was the only part I didn't really enjoy.

I have to say that I was NOT expecting that ending. Questions have been answered while we ask even more questions. When will we reach the end?
