I started the audiobook yesterday morning and just could not stop listening. I would have struggled with reading the book - it is very much narrative by a poet - but the audio is read by the author and I found it really, incredibly moving: community, togetherness, love and grief and loss and celebration and wanting and finding. It's about basketball but it's about a lot of other things too, in a way that makes the basketball into something much bigger. I'm really glad I listened to this.

I would recommend reading it. I think the authors prose is beautiful and I wish I read the physical book so I could sit with his phrasing. I may re read this book
