I guess I would consider Personal Delivery the book equivalent of a rom-com movie. It was short, sweet, and fluffy. The characters felt very shallow, in that the story felt heavy on the physical and light on the relationship building. But on an afternoon when I needed a break? It fit the bill!
I finally had a break in between ARC's, and this book has been on my kindle for a while now, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I was instantly sucked into this story and got so lost in it. Jake Aston is a billionaire and his company just purchased SwiftEx (think FedEx) and it's a mess. Jake decides to pull an "undercover boss" to see where the issues lie. While making deliveries, he meets Jana, who works from home full time as a greeting card designer. Jake and Jana are instantly attracted to each other, and Jake starts making multiple deliveries to Jana, thanks to her friends.
Turns out that Jake is not a delivery guy but a billionaire. When Jana finds out, she doesn't go running. She accepts it. There was zero drama in this book, which was surprisingly refreshing. It was just a story about two people who meet and fall and love. There is one problem - Jana lives in Baltimore and Jake lives in New York.
Jana's friends were very funny, and the banter between Jake and Jana was great. Steamy sex scenes as well.
Overall, this was a fun read (I read this in one day) and I would recommend it.

This was really cute! It’s low angst and no ow/om drama. I liked the idea that Jana thought Jake was just a delivery truck driver and didn’t know he was actually the owner and billionaire. This was great for a quick fun read in between heavy reads. Thanks for the rec Janie!!!
This was a sweet, little read. No complications or conflict, just two people who crush on each other and then fall in love. I do wish the whole "working undercover as a delivery driver" had lasted a little longer to add a bit more drama to the story, but I enjoyed it overall. The writing was solid, the book had just the right amount of steam, and the couple was adorable. Just super cute.

The angst on this was so low that I stopped reading halfway and it felt like a satisfactory instalove novelette! Cute and steamy, but not a lot happening.

Funny & Sexy
Did I mention funny? As in laugh out loud in public without embarrassment funny. Yep, that happened and I might or might not have looked around to assess the situation. The writing is fantastic! There are a few edits that need to be done, but that's just being nit picky. Erotic sex scenes are intense and should come with a warning like cool breeze necessary if read in public. Or pink cheeks might happen. *cough, cough* This is a book better read from home. Ahem.

loved this story!! ainsley does it again!! We meet Jana, a greeting card illustrator who has the hawts for thr new delivery guy...he is smoking!! Jana makes the mistake telling her bffs about him and they set a plan in motion for Jana to hook him. the next thing Jana knows she is getting many deliveries per week filled with cat toys and sex toys all the while her hunky delivery guy brings for her. Jake is the new CEO of the delivery company and he is doing undercover work to see how it works. he delivers packages to Jana and he can't help but want her. one particular delivery he can't help himself and he kisses Jana!! interrupted by a phone call jake has to leave back to NYC. he hasn't told Jana who he really is bc he wants her to like him for him not the him thats a billionaire. however the cat is out of the bag when Jana sees her Jake on the news and he is not a delivery person at all. will Jana forgive Jake for not telling her the truth? will Jake reach out to Jana? will they find time for one another or was it doomed to fail from the beginning.
