I didn’t like it at first but once I got into it it got so intense so fast. I loved that it had backstories in there to kind of show how the characters developed. Definitely recommend
so many trigger warnings- check them & just prepare yourself. straight up felt like a law & order SVU. Asa is one of the worst characters, but I fear Colleen did good with the writing to make me absolutely disgusted by him and hate him. Sloan & ‘Carter’s relationship kept me wanting to push through. But not in their Spanish classes, no me gusta. Overall a tough book due it it’s dark nature. A quick read but not my favorite. Colleen did say it’s not one of her “typical” writing styles so I appreciate the change up, just not my style.
