Assez différent des autres livres de C.H.
Je pense que la fin était de trop, il aurait pu finir
bien avant et ça aurait été parfait. Je donne
quand même un 3.5, car j’avais hâte d’en savoir plus.

I feel like either this book was written in a rush, or the author was in a completely different mind set.
I was expected more, this fell flat.
The characters had very little depth, it was all about the situation the FMC was in, which I understand is the crux of the story.
The romance plot felt superficial and hard to believe.
I did enjoy reading from Asa’s perspective, so props for that.
Overall, it was just blah.

2.5 - I don’t know why I read these, let alone own them all
Too Late is definitely one of Colleen Hoover’s grittier, more intense books—and while the storyline had a strong start, it didn’t fully land for me. The setup was compelling, with high emotional stakes and a twisted web of power and control that pulled me in fast. But once I hit the last 25%? Everything just started racing, and not in a good way. Plot points flew by without the development they really needed, and it felt a bit rushed and chaotic.
I also couldn’t help but feel like the book dragged in parts earlier on, then sped up too much at the end—so the pacing overall felt off. Honestly, trimming about 50 pages and fleshing out the ending would’ve made a big difference.
Not my favorite CoHo read, but I can appreciate the risks she took with this darker story. If you’re into gritty romance with heavy themes and don't mind a bit of chaos, this might still be worth the ride.
This book was fricken nuts, but I was hooked the whole time until the end (end was a bit slow and unnecessary). Coho books keeping me in the reading game
I've read it and it's nothing like verity. but I still enjoyed it
