This book is very dark. Trigger warnings for domestic violence, rape, drug use, and mental illness. Despite depicting some graphic situations, this book kept me wanting more. I experienced so many emotions. This is definitely a thriller that kept my heart racing!

In my experience with Colleen Hoover books, they are usually fast paced and keep you engaged but the characters are toxic and rather juvenile. This book was no different.
It always bothers me when characters "fall in love" and seem to have a soul connection when they met an hour prior. There were no characters in this book I was rooting for. The "undercover" cop acted like a 16 year old boy. So many things just felt unrealistic.
