I think this author isn't for me. The characters are so one-note. The book doesn't pass the Bechdel test. The characters' actions don't make sense. The brother Stephen is super important but we see him one time. The house is so loud and full of drugs but we never see that. Undercover cops don't know how to stay undercover. The bad guy bamboozles or evades law enforcement repeatedly.

Getting to the end of this book was painful.

i’ve never hated a character as much as asa. truly one of the most vile characters, i was sick to my stomach about certain scenes and actually had to take breaks from reading. she didn’t preface the book with it being more morbid than anything she’s ever read & it was never intended to be released which i think was good or include. heavy heavy trigger warnings for sexual assault and domestic violence. but even with all of that, i did enjoy the story

Great book! Loved how the story was told in sequence but by each character separately. I love psychological thrillers and this one keeps you interested right through the end.

I like doing the first half of this but once the extensive epilogues hit it got a little too crazy to me. It was still enjoyable and definitely well written but just not my favorite out of colleeen's books.
