This was just the fun and quirky read I was looking for. The set up was unique and I loved this twist on the usual paranormal romance. The banter and snark between Bael and Jillian (and Zeb!) was definitely the highlight of the book. It was especially fun to watch Bael come to terms with his feelings. This was a great start to the series and I’m looking forward to reading the rest.

The audio was really well done and both narrators did such a fantastic job! I was very impressed by all the different accents and voices used by Jonathon Davis and Amanda Ronconi. Definitely recommend the audiobook!

It’s a short, fun read. I’d say 3.5 but leveled up for sake of it truly hitting the mark on what it’s trying to be. A fun little ride with well developed characters and a town that sounds like it might be fun to visit. Don’t have high hopes and know you’re going into it for what it is and it’s definitely an enjoyable read!

It was a cute story. Some of the scenes were a little weird. I liked the characters but the plot was obvious. Feels more like YA but I will listen to the other books in the series on audible (for free with Prime) when I don’t know what else to listen to.

Quick and fun with good banter and likeable characters, though the big emotional beats didn't get a lead-up, they just all happened suddenly or were explained pretty fast. But I still probably read the next in the series, because again, it was fun.
