Now this feels like the comic I fell in love with. Not that the current issues are bad, but there's something a little... lacking, somehow? I don't know.*
But THIS! This is just the right combination of story and art that fits in perfectly with that initial run of issues.
*Actually, it might be the color palette that's been throwing things off for me? I like the quirky individuality of the art in the recent issues, but it does seem a little muted in color. Fits perfectly with the art style, but it doesn't quite feel like Jem to me. Something to ponder, perhaps.
