I've noticed in other reviews that there are a good number of complaints about the characters. I also didn't like any of the characters. There are some characters to greatly dislike, like Eddie, but I don't care either way about El or Jo because I don't know anything about them. The characters just feel very generic. It isn't until the end of volume 1 that Dane interests me and I don't know if that is enough to keep me going with this series. The art is gorgeous and the story has potential, but right now it all seems very flat.

I picked this up without knowing anything about it, but I'm glad I did. Nice illustrations and interesting cast of characters so far. I'll be picking up the second volume.

More interested in the coma/dream world than the actual mystery. Characters are fleetingly described. Hard to get attached to anyone, especially when they're all prep school type douches.

I loved this so much I immediately added the next 2 volumes to my library holds and then researched to see if there was a volume 4. It's on hiatus!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I'll still read the next two anyways because why not.
Elle is in a coma after a murder attempt that she doesn't remember. She's having an out of body experience and can't get back into her body, but she finds she can get into other bodies when the spirit decides they are ready to leave and move on into afterlife.
The artwork is gorgeous. Honestly I picked this up based completely on the front cover and I'm glad I did. Every single page is stunning.

Meh. As I read this I just kept thinking something was missing. It felt like I should be enjoying the story much more than I was. It's an interesting premise that I thought was going to be good, but the plot just didn't grab me. It jumped around a lot, trailed along slowly and didn't manage to make me have any feelings for the main character. There are also a lot of movie and song references which became annoying very fast.

I just am not quite there with this one. I liked it fine but wasn't particularly engaged.

I received a free copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really, really enjoyed this for the most part. The art and colors were really, really amazing and the story was very interesting as well. It was, however, a bit hard to follow for me at times, which is why I have to take one star off the rating. Apart from that it was really good though and I'm looking forward to picking up the next volume!

I really liked the illustration in this volume. The mystery in the story kept me interested from the beginning. I will continue reading.

This is not a story that spoon feeds you, it starts confusing, and only gets worse. By the end of the book I had more questions than answers, nothing is as it seems, but I'm excited to get on to the next trade. The only let down with this book for me was the colouring. The art is nice and clean, but the colouring reminds me of early digital before the publishers learnt what they were doing.

This is a good series, but I would only read the trades. I'd be driven crazy monthly by all questions and no answers.

Beautifully illustrated though, that's totally worth coming back to this series for.
