Came across this while browsing at the library, knew from the back of the book it would very likely be incredibly stupid. Still somehow shocked by how stupid it was though.

i don't have much to say honestly besides i loved the writing but there's something about it that didn't really satisfy me. i liked the messages about motherhood and womankind here and there but yeah it kinda fell flat for me

I just finished this book and feel so wildly conflicted with what to say about it. I was, unfortunately, on board for a very long time — probably with it until just about 30 pages away from the ending. That reflects poorly on me and how I think and I accept it gladly! Happily! But the ending really threw me. Definitely wasn’t expecting it so that was good? But what did I read? Why? Who? What? So many questions. I’ll try and make audrie read it. Lots of bookmarks!

Read some of the other reviews and see the gripes about missed points or surface level stuffs and I’m probably making stuff up to excuse this book BUT. But. It’s an interesting take on being complicit in the things we can easily identify as “evil” and exposing us as hypocrites. I wanna see Raquel’s take on this. I trust her.

Stay at home mom decides to get a new job.

This was not great. I kept waiting for something horrific or mysterious or even just interesting to happen. But nope. I don’t see the point of this.
