This book was a true joy to read! There was a loose, light narrative throughout the book, tying the collection of comics and pictures together. The author tells a very personal tale with highly relatable humour and insights - easily recommended to all.

I bonded with each page, each section, “me” “worry” and “hope”. It was a perfect fit.

When your feelings are heavy, I found the simplicity of Worry Lines designs and messaging to lighten the load a bit.

The use of humor was gentle enough, it didn’t feel overdone. It was as the title says “mildly uplifting”, just enough to take the deep breathe you may need.

Thank you Random House for gifting me a copy of this likeable illustrated book. (not saying illustrated books aren’t likeable, just saying that I found this one likeable and relatable…there is my worry again, excuse me worry you’re not helping here)

thank you Worry Lines, you are lovely

My sister recently gifted me this book because I am going through some hard times and dealing with some new and difficult emotions. This book really comforted me, it was funny and more than mildly uplifting. It helps to remind me that my emotions aren’t necessarily my enemies. Like the book says, worry and hope aren’t all that different from each other. They just want what is best for me. I just really loved this book, it made me feel warm and happy and it was so cute. And I found worry very oddly endearing. Every emotion is welcome here!

Thought. Thought about thought. Feeling about thought. Thought about feeling. Feeling about feeling. Feeling.

What a great way to start 2022! I’m graduating, going to university, and covid is still ever present; there’s just so much to worry about. But, this book that’s filled with cute drawings is telling me not to worry so much and have trust in hope, so I guess I’ll have to do just that.
