This was my first book of 2022, if that offers any idea what 2021 was like. I wasn’t expecting much from this book, but I resonated with almost every page. It actually even made me tear up at the end. If you’re going through a hard time or are someone who worries a lot, this book really is for you.

This graphic novel is like a big warm hug (as the cover suggests). It follows a little figurine (essentially all of us) conversing with his inner voice 'Worry' while in search of 'Hope'.
I love the cute and meaningful drawings. The book is also filled with innermost thoughts that have definitely crossed all our minds as well as uplifting affirmations. It's surprisingly raw and honest, but also funny and deeply relatable.
The perfect read for anyone who has ever struggled with self-doubt and anxiety, but I highly recommend it to everyone!

I followed their account back when I was still in Instagram. That is high praise, because I only followed around 20 accounts ever.
Where do I start? The roundness of the characters seems human yet safe. The symmetry is very soothing while it still delivers the message of feeling messed up - and mostly about surviving that condition, being present regardless. There is so much beauty in being sensitive.
It feels good to touch - a textured hardback cover. It smells good. It sounds good as the pages flap against each other. And the chapters are color coordinated!
I give it full five stars as I can not think of a way this material could have been presented any better. Putting together insightful memes and giving them even more depth with a continuous storyline, delivered in a beautiful package. Piece of art in its own right.
The book does not include all my favorite illustrations, so I'm secretly hoping for a sequel.
