Nearly on par with The Gutter Prayer. I only have one complaint, but it's fairly big. TGP was so honed in on the one contained story, jumping into this book and its sprawling web (hehe) of geo-political intrigue feels like a totally different series and whiplash. It took me most of the first half of the boom to finally get my head wrapped around all of the factions at play. Even then, I still had to stop and remind myself of who was who sometimes in the second half. It would have been nice for all of this to have been set up a little bit more before getting thrown to the wolves.

An excellent follow up to book 1. The strength of the Gutter Prayer, the setting and world building returns and is enhanced by some new POVs. The new POV's expand the understanding of the world outside Guerdon.

Sequel to The Gutter Prayer, continues the story of the city Guerdon and the Godswar. As the city prepares for elections, conspiracies are coming to fruition.it is up to Eladora to find a way to save her city from forces that would tear it apart. Another fantastic story from Hanrahan - full of imagination, and ideas. At times it was difficult to keep track of who everyone was and who they were working for, but this was a minor quibble in a hugely enjoyable tale.
