A perfectly fine cozy mystery. I like Buckley well enough that even when I find some of her books slightly disappointing, I'll still give others a shake. I like the setting and the Hungarian cultural bits are interesting (although maybe a little heavy handed). The resolution of the mystery was fitting, although I could've done with at least one red herring. I thought that the romantic angle was a little too insta-love and didn't have enough behind it and I found the minor subplot about our heroine's brother's very introverted girlfriend pretty odd. Will still probably read the next one.

More of a 3.5, but I upped it to 4 because it kept my attention throughout. The tea house was a nice setting. I know very little about Hungarian culture, so I'm not sure how accurately it was portrayed, but I enjoyed it, and found the folklore interesting. The characters were okay; no one was boring or annoying. I did find it a bit weird that Hana's brother's girlfriend is just said to be shy, when it seems far more likely that she has social anxiety. I also hope there's a bit more character development in the next book for Hana.

I really enjoyed this new cozy ... unsurprisingly written by one of my favorite cozy mystery authors, Julia Buckley. It’s sweet, funny, sincere and authentic, and, of course, cozy. I love the Hungarian focus and can’t wait until more is written in the series.

Another book/series by Julia Buckley, another smash hit. Julia has a way with her story telling that just seems to captivate you. I hang on every word and I have to make time, because I know I will binge all the books.

The setting and cast of characters were fantastic. The storyline was incredible. I adore folklore and appreciate superstitions. I enjoyed learning a tad about the Hungarian culture as well. And, as always, Murder!

I’m so excited to jump in to the next book in the series.

I had both a digital and audio copy of this book. I enjoyed the narration with the accents. It added something extra to the tale.

Such a cute cozy. Julia Buckley is a new author to me. Can't wait for the next one.

Thanks to the publisher, via Netgalley, for an advance e-galley for honest review.

3.5 stars, rounded. I liked this one and think the series has a good deal of potential. The level of involvement that the detective allowed Hana strained credulity, but the inclusion of Hungarian culture and the folklore element set this one apart.
