These covers.... Sweet lord they are beautiful. I enjoyed this continuation of this series and getting the answers as to what was going on in Elon's life from the first book. It didn't grab me the way that first book did, despite the amazing prologue, but was still good.
I look forward to seeing what this author does next.

I have to say that I feel deprived and it's my own fault. I was intrigued by book one. I added it to my TBR (also known as the Bermuda Triangle of books) and promptly forgot. (In my defense my TBR has over 5,000 books on it.) Along comes Breaking Gravity...I'm not sure if the titles or the covers gave off a PNR vibe ( I love PNR however, this book is not PNR) and I wasn't in the mood or what but I'm so glad I didn't let it go to my TBR.
This story is a second chance and a naughty professor all in one. I'm sure plenty of people will be intrigued by the scandal. It's hot, no denying that but the beauty of this story is in the bond. These two people have been beaten down by life, fate, whatever. They have been demoralized and left in the shells they inhabit. Neither one believes in hope. Neither one expects more out of life. They simply exist.
Depressing and melancholy as it is, they both are resigned to that life. Until they meet...
It's a beautiful story. You don't have to have read Fall Back Skyward to fall for these two. But I would be jealous of you if you did. There is a certain bond that you acquire having met the family before starting this book and the dynamics would be spelled out more. However, I suffered no loses by not reading it first (Think of it as extra credit and a jump start). I will be making up for lost time though!
I can't wait to see what's in store for Elise in the next one. I have a feeling it will be wonderful.

Zzzzzzz
It was soooo boring. Writing was mediocre. Very strange analogies and wording and descriptions. Too many info dumps that I didn't care about at all..... didn't cate about any of the characters.

This was the first book that I have read by this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. I enjoyed reading this book. It was well written with great characters.
This was about Nathanial Rowe a famous cello player. He was in a tragic accident that injured his arm to where he could not play the cello anymore. During this accident he also tragically lost someone that was extremely important to him. This starts after the accident when he is trying to move on with his life. He decides that he is going to move back home to be a teacher at a music school. That is where he meets Elon who is a girl that also plays the cello. From first sight he instantly has feelings that he has not had for a long time with someone. Things progress from them with these two. I absolutely loved the chemistry that is between these two . It is extremely hot and steamy. I wont give away anymore of this very well written extremely enjoyable book. I highly recommend reading and enjoying.

Fabulous!!
I'm a sucker for a forbidden student/teacher romance and this one didn't disappoint. And I loved being in the "Fall Back" world again!!

"She takes my breath away without even trying."
Ever since I finished reading Fall Back Skyward, I was looking forward to the side-characters getting their own book. One of them was Elon, Nor's younger sister. There were some hints to her rocky relationship with her new professor, who she named Mr. Scowl-A-Lot. I am going to be honest and say I was a bit hesitant when I read this was a student/teacher romance, because I always either end up loving it or hating it. However because I read and really loved Fall Back Skyward, and I trusted Autumn to deliver a real story with intriguing characters, I picked this book up. She did not disappoint!
"Elon is my ray of sunshine, punching holes through my armor with gentle blows I hardly saw coming until now."
Both Nate and Elon went through a traumatic past and have issues because of it. I loved how they healed and made each other believe in love again. They treated each other with respect and never hurt one another. I loved how mature they both were and that there wasn't any unnecessary drama like you see in a lot of student/teacher romances. The author really took her time telling Elon and Nate's story. She did not rush through the story and she gave me all the time I needed to fully connect to the characters. Also even though there was a 9 year age difference between them, Elon acted very mature. She acted more mature than her age and the attraction and connection between Elon and Nate felt real. The secondary characters such as Nate's best friend/Brother-in-law Bennett and sister Izzy, played an important role and elevated the story. I really loved the brother/sister dynamic between Izzy and Nate.
I really love Autumn's writing style and it sometimes felt very poetic which made me love it even more. I really enjoyed this book and all the characters. It wasn't just ONE story but both Elon and Nate had other issues they were dealing with outside their relationship. I was especially sad about what happened with Elon's best friend Nick but it was handled perfectly at the end. The book world needs more authors like Autumn Grey because she creates such intriguing and beautiful characters and stories. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

**4.25 STARS**
Student/teacher romance is my fav and this did not fail me! It was hot as all hell, and Nate just had me on my toes the entire time!
'Breaking Gravity' was my first book by Autumn and I am so glad it was my type of trope! Immediately from the chilling prologue, I was hooked! I could not put my kindle down, for the life of me, because Nate already proved to be such a broken and intriguing character and I needed to know what actually occurred.
This story follows Nathaniel Rowe, who is haunted by his failure to protect his one true love and now his inability to continue playing the cello. Enter Elon Blake.
Elon captivates, and is captivated by, Nathaniel and though they try to avoid one another due to their student/teacher relationship, the chemistry is undoubtedly there. Nathaniel becomes attracted to not only her, but to her musical abilities and her spunk.
However, Nathaniel constantly feels like he isn't worth much to Elon if he can't keep her safe, and with an addiction to pain meds, life for him doesn't seem to be looking up.
Elon also deals with her fair share of troubles, but the two can't give each other up, willing to risk their careers and relationships.
But just as they begin to open up to each other, a sudden threat looms over them.
I loved how passionate these two characters were. I didn't expect to be able to feel this strong love they started feeling for each other, but when I did, I ate it up! Also, some scenes together were just HOT! I had to turn up my fan because WOW. Nate and Elon sure do know how to get it on!
For as much as I loved the characters together, I loved them even more separately. We were able to see how Nate was with his family and how Elon was with hers and I absolutely love that. We really got to see who they were as a person, what they were dealing with, how they were dealing with it, and what they finally did to resolve their problems.
I got a complete story here and I am so glad to have been given the chance to read 'Breaking Gravity'. Without a doubt, I will continue reading more from Autumn!
If you're looking for a student/teacher romance with a whole lot of hot, a few broken characters, and heart-warming ending, then this is your book!

If you're looking for a student/teacher romance with a whole lot of hot, a few broken characters, and heart-warming ending, then this is your book!
Elon has had a rough upbringing and vowed to never be like her mother. For the most part she has accomplished that until Rick came into her life and turned it upside down. After her encounter with Rick she keeps her circle small and stays to herself. Living in her little bubble was going great until Professor Nate showed up. I really liked Elon because at first I thought she was going to be shy and quiet but she was funny and sassy. She knew how to push Nate’s buttons and rile him up. Yet she also knew when to turn it off and be what he needed. Her character was a breath of fresh air and I found her likeable and relatable.
Nate. Where do I begin with him? My heart broke for him for the pain and guilt he was going through. Nate is barely surviving and is putting on a good facade and trying to make it seem like “he's fine”. All of that comes to a halt when he becomes Elon’s Professor. He knows this is wrong but he can't help the way he feels. Will he take that risk? Will he play it safe and do the right thing?
This was a Student/Teacher taboo book done right! The sexual tension between Elon and Nate was off the charts hot!!! With that being said it wasn't just about sex with these two. They are both suffering in their own ways and can finally breathe and let their guard down with each other. They each wanted to become the person they knew they could be once they found each other. I loved the way they progressed individually and as a couple. Their banter was everything for me in this book. Elon always kept Nate on his toes and he didn't know what to expect from her and it was very amusing at times. Her nickname for him had me cracking up several times in this story. I loved how protective Nates was of Elon.He showed her how a real man is supposed to be and what it is to be truly loved and protected. Elon also showed Nate is was ok to be happy again.
“Fear cripples us, makes us weak. If you allow it to take over your life, it can easily incapacitate you. But if you stare at it in the eye, chances are you've already defeated that feeling. It's only through fear that we discover how strong we are. “
“If there is one thing life has taught me, it is that at times we experience pain and loss, we feel hopeless, faithless. But hidden beneath all the negatives, there's laughter and love and hope if you are patient enough.”
This was my first time reading anything by this author and her words and storytelling sucked me right in from the very beginning. This was a story that I couldn't stop reading and devoured in a few hours. Even though it's billed as a taboo story it touches on so many topics. In this book you will experience highs and lows, ups and downs. This is what life's all about. Bad things happen to good people all the time but it's how we deal with the situation that defines us. This book is also about finding your strength, courage to face tough situations and seeking closure to move on. Things won't always work out in your favor but you have to have strength to carry on. This book is one that will stay with me for a long time. I love a book that you can relate to and leaves you reeling with emotions. If I could give this book 10 stars I would. Well done Autumn Grey.

i absolutely loved reading the story of elon and nate. it was more than a student/teacher romance, it was full of love and tragedy and watching two people grow so beautifully into who they were meant to be. i loved every second of it.
