I finished this book minutes ago and feel such a mix of emotions. First of all, this book was very sad and filled with tragedy, which I have to admit, I love. I do have to say that I feel profoundly sad about the ending. It was very good, but broke my heart.

Why did Bo have to die?? Ugh I know it was good for the plot (this is me trying to ignore how sad it was) but I’m still so upset! I loved the representation of living with a disability, especially in such an extreme environment. The survival aspect was very appealing to me and I definitely think this book delivered. I did find it a little cheap that we skipped past so much of what happened after Jess finds the 2nd cabin. I think the revenge aspect and emotional motivations of Jess could’ve been further developed.

The first bit of the book felt a bit slow in its pacing but I ended up really enjoying the rest!
