I originally DNFed this book although this is right up my ally, with its survival focus and even cute dog. I am so glad I went back to read it, because now it is one of my favorites. It made me reflect on my own life because I felt I could relate so much. For me the focus of this book is on not giving up no matter what, in a way that I felt like it reached a lot deeper into my soul than most other books. It just made me want to live and I think for that it’s fantastic.

the longer i read, the more i liked it. I like reading survival and wilderness stuff, and this book didnt skimp. The ending wrecked me but it was so so good
