Nothing like giving a lackluster series a pretty boring ending. I'm 100% convinced that the author had no idea where she was going with this series. Every book had a series of cobbled together evil doers who had almost no impact on the overall plot. And even the parts that did carry over weren't good. Chaos, Fletcher, Lenore, all are supposed to be some kinda antagonist, but because of the POV of the book, it feels like all of their antics are left as afterthoughts to explain away holes in the plot.

The characters have very little depth besides the single thing the author gave them to do (ex Blue wear flowing dresses, Wyatt has snack foods, Shepard has weapons, Nico has his weird pants, Jem has roller skates). And they all have an annoying phase that they keep repeating to remind us that the character is who they say they are.

Admittedly, I read this book because I think there's parts of it that are interesting. But I'm frustrated to keep seeing urban fantasy as an excuse for misogyny, racism, and anti-queer ideologies. The idea of writing an entire species as sexist just because that's how they are is lazy. And I'm sorry, if there are so many immortals, how are they all straight, heteronormative, allo-sexual carbon copies.

Whatever, it's over and I'm not reading that ending novella because I'm done with Raven and Christian.

The journey finally comes to an end!

Absolutely loved this series, it feels bittersweet finally coming to the end, but holy shit what a ride!!

I loved the characters and all their unique relationships, the way the characters developed and evolved.

If I’m being honest, I would’ve loved to see Shepard and Kira get together… hopefully there may be more to come as a side story

Crossbreed Series

I loved this series! I have read and reread them! I love how it ended.
I'm going to try and be as vague as possible in order to not give any spoilers.
I still don't know how i feel about Raven's decision, but I totally get it. And I'm excited for Nevermore.
I wish there was more with Gem/Niko. Maybe another novella?
I love that we got more info on Kira.
My love/hate for Houdini is now more so love.
I'm excited to see what more Dannika has to write within her beautiful universe she's created.
I would love to see a crossover with Silver and Halo with Keystone!

great read!

A great edition to one of my favorite series! Questions were answered, storylines tied up, and relationships discussed and acknowledged in this book. A definite read!

I’m so sad this series is over, but I am very pleased with the ending… I do hope we get to follow other characters and their relationships… some of the storylines felt like they were tied up with a bow, but one loop of the bow was larger then the other… something wasn’t quite right. SO I hope we get a chance to see more!

Not the best end to the series, felt a bit rushed. But still good.

One more time for this year, this story will finish my goal.

The last book was supposed to be the last in the series. The author didn’t like where it ended. I didn’t either, too many loose strings. I’m happy for this story.

Raven gets some closure, falls in love with Christian Poe a little more, we get more stories from the rest of the Keystone crew that made this reader very happy indeed. There are thrilling moments, scary moments, even some spectacular romantic moments, and I loved them all.

Dannika Dark is one of my favorites. I don’t think I’ve missed any books, and I hope to continue to read her. I’m interested in her next foray into this world to see where she takes us.
