I loved this book so much more than I thought I would. This was my first read by this author and also my first cozy murder mystery book.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by C S E Cooney and she did an AMAZING job.

I enjoyed the story line for this book and honestly didn’t know who did it until the end. I had my suspicions but the author did a good job of making you question yourself, haha!

I loved the main character, Rarity, and now I need to go open a bookstore in a small town…. ( and get a bestie who owns a shop next door!)

I highly recommend this if you need a break from darker stories. I typically read horror or dark romance and this was like a nice refresher for my brain. It was cute and light and seriously gave me cozy feels

The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club is the first in a new series by Lynn Cahoon. Rarity has moved to Sedona, AZ to be close to her friend after going through breast cancer treatment. She opens a book store, and wants to bring other survivors together to discuss all types of books. Unfortunately after a couple of meetings, someone in the town is murdered, and Rarity and her new friends take it upon themselves to help out the police and figure out the culprit. This was a light read to enjoy over the hot summer.

The Tuesday Night Survivor's Club is the first in a new series, and is set in Sedona, Arizona. Sedona has an interesting combination of restaurants, shops, and natural scenery, and the author does a good job of capturing the essence of this unique town. Not all the details are there, but you still get a good feel for the town if you've never been there.

The main character of the book, Rarity Cole, is a cancer survivor who opens a bookstore and starts a book group for other survivors. Because of the subject matter, I was afraid the book might be depressing. However, even though cancer and cancer treatment is a large part of the story, it is still an upbeat book. I like the way the story sheds light on the way some unscrupulous people will take advantage of those who are ill to promote dangerous "miracle" cures.

The bookclub quickly evolves into an amateur sleuthing group when one of their members is murdered. They each try to gather clues about the victim, whom they didn't know very well, and potential suspects. Rarity sometimes takes on a bit too much for an amateur sleuth, but she does regularly report in to the police officer who is officially on the case. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and liked the way things wrapped up. I'm up in the air on how I feel about the potential love interests for Rarity and also for her best friend, but I'm interested to see how things play out. This is a series I'm interested in following.

A group of cancer survivors turns sleuths after a member of their book club/support group goes missing in The Tuesday Night Survivor's Club, the first in a new cozy series by Lynn Cahoon.
Rarity Cole is a breast cancer survivor. After reevaluating her life, she moves to Sedona, AZ, to open a bookstore that specializes in books on healing. In addition, she starts a book club for cancer survivors, but one of the members goes missing. As Rarity and the other ladies are concerned, they decide to try to help uncover the truth.
While this has aspects you'd expect in a cozy, the cancer survivor aspect sets this apart from traditional cozies. Cancer survival and the ongoing impact on a survivor's life are not shied away from here but compassionately portrayed. As the support group characters develop further across the series, I think these relationships will deepen and become the heart of the series.
Cahoon has several successful cozy series to her credit and knows her way around a mystery. The story is well-plotted with some red herrings, twists, danger, and a dramatic ending. We also meet some engaging characters, including a fortune teller, Rarity's best friend Sam, who owns a crystal shop, a handsome hiking tour guide, and an adorable dog. This book is a solid start to a new series. I look forward to the next one. Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the opportunity to review this ARC. I enjoyed it!

This was just an OK cozy mystery read. Rarity, a breast cancer survivor, has moved to Sedona, Arizona to start over and open a book store.  She decides to start a Book Club for Cancer Survivors.  When one of the members is murdered they also become a sleuth club.  I liked the book store/book club background.  The members of the club were interesting but they were not really developed.  The mystery was not interesting and there were not a lot of suspects.  For such a short book I wish more space was given to the characters and the mystery instead of her pool.  It was a quick read.
