This was a super fun book and got a great laugh out of parents at Baby Time! I would definitely read this one again for a story time or another baby time, I'd definitely have kids call out the animal who George is making the sound for in a story time.

Absolutely the best book to read at a story time for almost anyone. Funny, animal noises, silly, and a "what happens next?" kind of ending. I took it to read to a kindergarten class once, and I had to read it three times before they'd let me move on to something else!
I read it at least 4 times per year at different storytimes and outreach, so I don't put every read date in!

I've heard this one is a huge hit with kids, but I think I missed a little of the whimsy, myself. That said, I never really enjoyed the Old Lady Who Swallowed the Fly, either, so maybe it's the idea of swallowing animals that just doesn't tickle my funny bone.
