I'm not going to lie, I bought this book without knowing anything about it, I judged it solely by its cover and I have got to say, great idea! This book is awesome! I absolutely loved the layout. Making it a dossier of events was brilliant. That said, it also made it a bit difficult to follow at times. As I was reading I found myself comparing it to a couple different things... The doctor who episode The waters of Mars, the Disney movie smart house, and of course 2001 A Space Odyssey.

The plot isn’t perfect, but this is such a unique way to read a book that you have to give it a shot. I’ve read some reviews that claim the book is hard to get through and boring, but I completely disagree. I was pretty engaged in the story and the main character. I say go for it. You won’t regret it.

This is a very creative novel written in an epistolary style. You get the story through a series of documents that were retrieved from the aftermath of a horrible event. You get various files from our MC's and from an AI that are strung together by the person who collected the documents and is narrating the findings. On the flip side because this is in an epistolary style some people are not going to like the formatting of this book. The books flow is not bad considering the format and I was able to stay engrossed. At its heart, this is a story about tragedy, love, survival, and sacrifice. There are times where you get a little confused, but the MC's are also confused so it really is keeping with the style. Overall I enjoyed the book and I'll read book two which I already own but might wait a little bit since book three won't be out until March. This is a YA novel that is pretty clean for those that are concerned with such things.

It is unique story telling for sure, but to be honest, i was confused at times and was distracted and uninterested. Nonetheless it was fun at times, i just learned that SciFi isn't really my thing
