Used to joke, back in the days of the George W. Bush Iraq invasion, that Mexico should have been the target of a U.S. invasion. Tongue in cheek, of course, but if what Gibler relays is accurate, Mexico is beyond failed state status, and a epic tragedy where human life is a disposable commodity, and where government officials and the 4th estate of journalism serve the powerful cartels. Either with blood soaked money or fear of meeting a horrific death.
