Absolutely wonderfully creepy book! The plot twist was a little predictable, but suspenseful nonetheless. And the ending! So creepy! Overall wonderful horror story and I enjoyed every minute of it. I’m excited to read the creeper by him next!

I didn't really enjoy this book. I thought the prose was awkward and didn't flow well at times. I thought the pacing in the first half of the book was way too slow and I was bored. I didn't find it scary even though it's a horror novel. I thought the 'twist' was incredibly obvious. It just wasn't my cup of tea, and I won't be continuing with the next one.

This was a buddy read which is why it took me longer to finish, if I had read this on my own I think I would’ve finished in 1-2 days.
Overall, the book was good.
It’s very slow in the beginning, I think the excitement really picks up a little over half way in and then it became challenging to put the book down.
I’m kicking myself for not noticing sooner that something was up with one of the characters. Though I figured it out before the reveal, I should’ve figured it out sooner.
Looking forward to reading the sequel.

This was delightfully creepy. I really enjoyed each of the characters and there's some striking imagery.

I think there’s a good story here. I just wish someone else had written it.
Everything is so padded that you can pretty much skip every other paragraph and miss nothing. The narrator is inconsistent. Incorrect grammar crops up. The random, improper uses of passive voice are jarring. Oh, and if I have to read, “the yellow one” one more time…

it took me 2-3 chapters to get interested but once i did?
OH. BOY.
this was such a gripping read, i could hardly put the book down. it felt like i was out in those woods with all of the characters trapped in a cramped space with endless eyes on me. it was absolutely thrilling with wonderfully devastating surprises and an ending that makes me excited to read the next in the series. definitely one of my favorite reads from this year.
