as soon as you open the book, you dive into the intimacy of friendship and relationship between marianne and conell who are ultimately so different. 

the characters development!! they are both flawed individuals who struggle with teenage hormones and lives. their dynamic is both captivating and frustrating. Communication isn't their strongest skill but they also understand each other better than anything else. 

rooney's prose is amazing but please make the dialog clear. I'm not here to do double brain gymnastic to read a book. 

i simultaneously couldn't put the book down but was bored at times.
