LOVED this book SO MUCH. It starts out at a moderate pace and ramps up and never slows down. The characters were real; take that as you will. So many twists and turns; this book is a real rollercoaster. Loved the pacing and merging and winding road of this storyline.

Having recently discovered this author I read two of her books back to back. They are so well written and keep you wanting more, but she tackles some very very very difficult subject matters. I have a third book in my library book queue but I think I may need to take a little time and read something else because these books are heavy and graphic. The topic was off putting and makes it hard to read and rate, but the writing is solid and the story is good. A lot of people will be turned off by the subject matter and I don’t blame them. I had to skip through several sections because I couldn’t listen anymore (audiobook). So, read with caution and check your trigger warnings.

One of themes of both of her books I’ve read is sister working together and she does a great job of showing sisterly relationships, the good and the bad.

This was a pretty tough read, very graphic and disturbing but a really good thriller. I really felt for all the (good) characters in the book. My only negative is that a few things just seemed confusing and kind of all over the place. Overall really good and would recommend but I would check the triggers before.

Great book and kept me on the edge of my seat!! Very Criminal Minds vibes. Taking away a star because the summary gives no indication of what’s inside the book and there is no trigger warning page!!!! I know TW pages inherently include semi-spoilers but they are so important. Wouldn’t have stopped me from reading but it would some, and at least I could have mentally prepared!!

Lots of intense torture and non con situations. Hunting Adeline vibes (without smut)
