I feel like I should start by saying this is excellently written and keeps you on the edge of your seat- definitely recommend for any mystery/crime junkie. That being said, it seems important to warn people that there are some seriously graphic descriptions of various crimes in here (more so than in Slaughter’s previous works) so if you have any kind of triggers, might want to skip this one- or at least read it, as opposed to an audiobook, so you can skip the descriptions. Really great book though!

I couldn’t put this book down. While super dark and challenging at times, Slaughter’s storytelling and attention to detail is unique and captivating. I liked that it was a different structure than most thrillers and didn’t follow the cliche pattern of some crazy twist at the ending but instead gradually built on the story throughout.
