I have been following Youngmi since her Feeling Asian Podcast and have since then fallen in love with her story telling. This book is a true gem! In the internet era where many stories are sensationalized through short content, it feels like a breath of fresh air to listen to someone give a nuanced account of their experiences.

I knew Youngmi is a young mother going into this book but this memoir made me marvel at the number of lives she’s lived. As someone of Asian descent who grew up in North America I could relate to a lot of the frustrations/traumatic moments she shared. This memoir is so raw and heartfelt it brought tears to my eyes at various points.
