10 out of 10 recommend picking up this beauty! Honestly I fell in love with the cover, but wasn't itching to read the story, but I was hooked from the first chapter. From one chapter to the next I had a hard time putting this book down. The story was riveting from start to finish. No boring lulls or lead up to the action. Something was happening to draw you into the story deeper every page. Definitely in a book hangover after this one.

I'm kind of waffling over whether to rate this a 3 or a 4, so I'll tell you why and hopefully that will get me to land on a rating!

I think this was a really strong start. It looks like this is a debut novel for Adalyn Grace, so considering that, it's pretty impressive, but unfortunately I found this to be a little boring.

The only bits that held my attention no matter what was the romance between Bastian and Amora. This isn't new for me, but it was a little disappointing that the romance was so much more interesting than the magic and adventure.

It wasn't an entirely poor effort, though, and I think I might be checking out the next book once it's out!

It was alright a bit predictable and nothing unique but okay. I just hated how dumb most characters were? and that the romance was so quick? Also the fact that everywhere the princess went she was like nobody must find out who I am, and then the second she meets somebody she’s like “Hi i’m the princess of whatever this world is called” like babes you didn’t even try to keep it secret?
Also what the f is the sequel about? Like?
