The Hero - Kage sexy, sharp and funny. If he wants something he will directly say it without buttering, up to the point. He is a dark and brooding stranger who moves into Natalie's neighbourhood. Kage is all masculine perfection with an air of untamed danger. He is cruel to his enemies, extremely possessive with Natalie and absolutely unapologetically filthy dirty in bed.

The Heroine - Natalie was a strong woman. She dealt through a lot but didn't create unnecessary drama. She didn't take any attitude from Kage. She wasn't whiny or annoying. She is such a witty, sassy, colourful and bright soul! She didn't back down when Kage warned about his volatile world and his darkest sins. And her sense of humor is on point. Seriously she made me laugh at the most inappropriate and tense moments.

The Overall Review - If you want a little angsty mafia romance recommendation from me, this book would be one of them.We got banter, humor, suspense, and mystery, and I looked forward to every time I finally got a chance to sit down and read. Sometimes, I was laughing hard. I love dark humor. J.T. Geisinger, you absolutely brighten my day. Basically it was a mafia romance with action, suspense obsessed male lead and a little rom-com.

ugh ew. dnf. it had such a good side plot concept but the speed of the smut and attraction, we moved wayyy too fast. hated it and i couldn’t even stick it out to find out the tea on the missing fiancé
