All the feels, I devoured this book so fast.  I only wish I had read the first book in the series first so I could enjoy Charlie and Ruby’s relationship a little bit more.  I just loved this book and these characters will stay with me for a long time.

Davis just raised the standard for fictional cowboys. I can’t say anything bad about this book. It had me crying, laughing, and swooning. Somehow it’s better than the first book!

this seriously has a serious chokehold on my heart. I love Tame the Heart & now Rope the Moon!!! even better.

Dakota coming home after finding her dreams only to realize that sometimes things aren’t what they seem. on the run away from her traumatic situation, pregnant, she finds her way back home to Resurrection. she’s battered & bruised & trying to figure things out. enter, davis montgomery. marine. cowboy. second chances. davis immediately swoops in to help dakota & he’s not letting her go this time. no matter what.

I loved davis & dakota from beginning to end. their story was different & beautiful. they went through a lot of struggles & came out on top.

davis was the star of the show for me truly. his heart, strength, pain, all of it, I just wanted to wrap him in a huge hug & steal him from Dakota. we love a bossy, grump with a DIRTY MOUTH. heck yes!!!

“𝑯𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒆. 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒂 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅.”

he loved dakota so fiercely, even after everything. they both had so much unspoken but at the same time I think it helped their story to end the way it did. they both had struggles & issues they needed to overcome & I felt how their story played out was perfect for their growth & love.

“𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒂𝒚…. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒅𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒐𝒕, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒅𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒅𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓.”

THE TWIST AT THE END — MA’AM. WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT & how aiden played into the ending!!!

the side characters were even better. I loved seeing all the brothers & Fallon & Stede. I truly wasn’t ready to leave Runaway Ranch.

What a page turner! This book starts off with a bang (literally) and will have you unable to put it down equally because of the romance and the suspenseful plot. I just loved Davis and Dakota, they bring what the other needs out of the relationship. Davis is the perfect grumpy sweet thoughtful and extremely protective cowboy. Dakota is so strong and resilient. I loved how honest and vulnerable they were with each other. I appreciate that Davis is a man who does not want to waste his second chance at love and happiness. I feel also like the tougher topics were managed well and their impacts on the characters realistic. This is perfect for anyone looking for romantic suspense x cowboy vibes. Definitely recommend!

Seriously, this truly is the best of the romantic suspense subgenre I have EVER read. Let me tell you, I have read some where I just skim over the “suspense” part cause at my heart I am a romance reader but the actual action or tension part of this plot I was at the edge of my seat and it was overdone or take up too much time, these love interests really got time to breathe. Ugh the second chance aspect hit me in the gut. Y’all minor spoiler but I know a lot of cowboy small town romance lovers want to know- NO he was not with anyone else in the years they were apart!!!! Their love for each other is all consuming! It makes total sense why he had to let her go the first time and the roadblocks make sense as to how angsty they come back together this time. I loved their whole time together and they had so much on page romance, including the hottest MMC POV spice, but also discussions of the past and tentative future. I love surprise pregnancy anything pregnancy romance so I knew I’d love that aspect of this but I truly think even if you don’t or feel neutral this is handled incredibly well. I went into this thinking I’d like it, well I couldn’t put it down and thought about it when I wasn’t reading it and ending up shedding a tear by the end. Highly recommend.
