Rope the Moon was a love story from the off. It’s always refreshing when two characters know that they are meant to be, and there’s no awkward “will they? won’t they?” situation. You just get to bask in the romance!
I didn’t fall as head over heels into the story as I did with Tame the Heart. I think that there were elements of Davis that we didn’t get to go into enough depth about that left me still slightly wondering about him, and I also felt like the timeline moved quite quickly when I would have liked to have lingered on some moments for a bit longer. The end also felt quite rushed. Overall, however, I continue to be enthralled by Runaway Ranch, Resurrection, and its residents.
I can’t figure out who I want to know more about now: Wyatt or Ford. In the one hand, I need Wyatt and Fallon to have their happy ever after *STAT* because they deserve it but, on the other hand, I need to know more about why Ford is so anti-love and want to see who can get him to change his mind. Either way, I can’t wait to see what happens to the Montgomery’s next! Here’s to a more relaxing couple of years for them…

Dakota coming home after finding her dreams only to realize that sometimes things aren’t what they seem. on the run away from her traumatic situation, pregnant, she finds her way back home to Resurrection. she’s battered & bruised & trying to figure things out. enter, davis montgomery. marine. cowboy. second chances. davis immediately swoops in to help dakota & he’s not letting her go this time. no matter what.
I loved davis & dakota from beginning to end. their story was different & beautiful. they went through a lot of struggles & came out on top.
davis was the star of the show for me truly. his heart, strength, pain, all of it, I just wanted to wrap him in a huge hug & steal him from Dakota. we love a bossy, grump with a DIRTY MOUTH. heck yes!!!
“𝑯𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒆. 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒂 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅.”
he loved dakota so fiercely, even after everything. they both had so much unspoken but at the same time I think it helped their story to end the way it did. they both had struggles & issues they needed to overcome & I felt how their story played out was perfect for their growth & love.
“𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒂𝒚…. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒅𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒐𝒕, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒅𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒅𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓.”
THE TWIST AT THE END — MA’AM. WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT & how aiden played into the ending!!!
the side characters were even better. I loved seeing all the brothers & Fallon & Stede. I truly wasn’t ready to leave Runaway Ranch.
